7/18/12
3 miles easy
43:07
It was horribly hot by the time I dragged my sorry butt out of bed, and I wound up doing a really slow 3 miles instead of the 5 miles pace I intended. Chalk it up to the heat.
7/22/12
2.5/8 miles long.
Sensing a pattern here. The one thing I have the most trouble with is consistency. Serious heartburn - like, my chest is on fire I can't breathe heartburn - cut this one short, and so I need to get the second half in tonight after I finish some shopping and housework.
Friday night I hosted a party at my house. It was more fun when we were in high school. We're all in our twenties now, and for some reason getting trashed and making out and passing out on the floor is more depressing than it is enjoyable. I lost a day of running yesterday and I still don't feel 100% today, but there's nothing I can do except learn my lesson.
Also note the lack of W1D2. I think the only explanation here is that I'm lazy and depressed. So much for thinking that training was going to fix any of my problems. I guess I'm the only one who can do that.

W1D1
3 miles easy
39:45
Hot, humid, and slow. I just did not want to run when I started, but my second half was better, I guess.
I was perfectly okay at work today - had my best customer service face on - but when I got out I just sorta snapped and decided I didn't want to do it any more. It's one thing to fake it when you're being paid to, but I just can't pretend to be happy when I'm not.

Occupation: pharmacy technician
Hobbies: eating, sleeping, agonizing over my weight while eating cookies, watching cop shows, running
Weight: 222 (current), 279 (highest), 199 (lowest)
Races: Philadelphia Half Marathon (2:43:08), Garden Spot Village Half Marathon (2:43:19)

Goals:
Stick to an 18-week training plan for the Nov. 18th Philadelphia Marathon
Get back under 200 for the marathon
Run Philly without vomit, embarrassment, or death
I've been running for about a year and a half now, and despite some trouble with my IT band and a little bit of a slump - or, to put it bluntly, a disaster - when it comes to weight loss, I'm ready to start training for the Philly marathon.
